Job summary

Winebow in Benicia, CA is seeking an experienced AR leader to manage the regional accounts receivable operations in a hybrid role. You will lead and develop the AR team, ensure accurate posting of payments across multiple ERP systems, and maintain strong controls over daily cash processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounts receivable or related supervisory experience.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Business Central, Apprise).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and XLOOKUP.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills to manage difficult collection calls while maintaining positive client relationships.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of mathematical and statistical accuracy.
• Understanding of accounting principles (GAAP), SOX, fair credit practices, and collection regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and develop the regional AR team; set workload priorities and coach performance.
• Ensure customer payments post accurately across AR automation platform and ERP.
• Execute the prior-day bank-to-ERP deposit tie-out with audit-ready daily checklist.
• Manage regional ledgers across ERP environments and ensure correct entity remittance.
• Enforce state electronic-mandated market rules and licensing-driven receivable requirements.
• Administer credit-hold and hold releases using policy and credit reports.
• Run prioritized collections and coordinate with Sales to minimize write-offs.
• Investigate and resolve short payments, deductions, and billing disputes.
• Route notices touching receivables to management per SOP.
• Reconcile AR sub-ledger to GL and support close calendar reporting.
• Drive process improvements for automation and controls.
