Hendrick Motorsports seeks an experienced Accounts Payable professional to manage AP for multiple business entities in Charlotte, NC, with light AR support. The role offers independence and a key role in maintaining accurate financial records.

You will own full-cycle AP, perform 2- and 3-way matching, resolve discrepancies, and serve as the primary contact for vendor inquiries. Strong customer service and MS Office proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on Accounts Payable experience.
• In depth knowledge of accounting principles and full-cycle AP procedures.
• Strong customer service and basic math skills.
• Ability to communicate with all levels in the organization and take initiative.
• Proficient in MS Office; experience with D365 a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own Accounts Payable processing for several entities with the ability to operate independently.
• Perform full-cycle AP processing, including 2- and 3-way invoice matching, coding, and payment runs.
• Independently research and resolve vendor and invoice discrepancies, escalating when needed.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for vendor payment inquiries.
• Review vendor account statements and follow up on past due balances.
• Track and maintain 1099 vendor records for year-end reporting.
• Prepare customer account statements and distribute to customers.
• Post customer deposits in relevant accounting software.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations in accounting software or Excel.
• Post recurring general ledger journal entries when applicable.
• Organize and maintain financial records and filing systems.
• Draft professional correspondence and prepare documents for delivery.
• Partner with the Accounting Manager to identify AP improvements.
