Perry Homes, a trusted homebuilder in Houston, seeks a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to manage day-to-day AP activities, ensure timely payments to vendors and utility providers, and serve as a key contact within the AP team. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in AP, proficiency with 10-key by touch, and experience with MS Office; Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Accounts Payable experience.
• 10-key by touch with speed and accuracy.
• Experience handling physical checks and electronic payment systems.
• Strong knowledge of AP filing and data entry procedures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, maintain and organize filing systems for financial information.
• Assist AP training as needed.
• Be contact point when AP Manager is unavailable.
• Process vendor invoices, utility bills, and third-party payments.
• Ensure payments are correct and in good standing.
• Post daily business transactions.
• Process credit card and online payments to vendors.
• Reconcile entries by comparing system reports to balances.
• Generate routine vendor payments with backup reviews.
• Support the Payables Department with additional duties as required.
