Job summary

David Weekley Homes is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Associate to join the Accounting team at our Houston office near 610 & Katy Freeway. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to manage a high transactional volume while ensuring accurate processing of invoices and payments.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years in Accounts Payable, strong Excel skills, and a proactive, collaborative attitude to support internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years Accounts Payable or equivalent accounting experience.
• Microsoft Excel experience and proficiency.
• Ability to manage time and work effectively with high transactional volume.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Self-starter, adaptable, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Process checks and electronic payments including printing checks and back charge reports.
• Verifying checks through the bank system; stop payment as needed.
• Enter invoices with PO match in JDE and ensure required approvals.
• Run SubPay and GAAP processes; support reconciliations.
• Review and process credit card transactions and electronic expense reports.
• Respond to internal and external customers questions and resolve vendor issues.
