Responsibilities

• Review and audit accounts payable invoices for input into the accounting system utilizing Excel upload templates for 40 plus locations in multiple states.
• Create and maintain accurate vendor records including W-9
• Maintain knowledge of general ledger accounts with the ability to identify incorrect coding
• Follow up on inquiries, issues, and outstanding invoices with location points of contact using effective communication.
• Prioritize and maintain organization of high-volume workload.
• Research invoices, both paid and unpaid, as needed including cleared check inquiries and voiding of checks.
• Check invoices for proper sales and use tax and make appropriate adjustments.
• Create and maintain excellent relationships with our internal and external customers while ensuring that all bills are paid in a timely manner.
• Assist location points of contact with general AP issues as needed.
• Cross train within the department to ensure multiple people can complete any Accounts Payable process.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Associates degree in Accounting, Finance or Business required, Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years of Accounts Payable experience in a corporate environment highly preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, pivot tables, v-lookups required.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products and Sharepoint.
• Experience using Concur Travel and Expense software or equivalent software, preferred
• Familiarity with and adherence to standard accounting principles and control practices
• Experience working in a dynamic environment with highly motivated and driven professionals
• Ability to contribute to team goals and initiatives, manage workload independently and efficiently while maintaining a strong quality of work
• Ability to plan, prioritize and organize effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Detail oriented, precise, and driven to achieve efficiencies
• Ability to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straightforward, professional, and pleasant manner.
