Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a senior Accounts Payable leader to oversee the full lifecycle from invoice intake to month-end close, managing domestic and international payments and maintaining strong internal controls.

You will supervise the AP team, coordinate across Finance, IT, and business stakeholders, and optimize processes for accuracy and efficiency. This role is remote from the United States with ET time alignment and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of accounts payable, accounting, or financial operations ownership.
• Two+ years of formal management experience.
• Hands-on leadership with AP processing, reconciliations, and close activities.
• Experience managing domestic and international payments (ACH, wires, checks, virtual cards).
• Experience with travel and expense management platforms and AP automation.
• Strong AP controls, documentation standards, and risk awareness.
• Advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Vendor and stakeholder management with strong communication.
• Ability to balance supervision with hands-on processing.
• Experience across multiple entities or nonprofit accounting is a plus.
• Education preferred; remote US work with ET alignment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full AP lifecycle from invoice intake to month-end close support.
• Manage domestic and international payments via ACH, wires, checks, and virtual cards.
• Verify invoices and documentation for accuracy and policy compliance.
• Serve as primary escalation point for vendor inquiries and disputes.
• Monitor cash flow, aging, and payment schedules for timely payments.
• Prepare AP reconciliations and related financial reporting.
• Support IRS 1099 reporting and vendor eligibility validation.
• Develop AP performance metrics and drive process improvements.
• Administer expense management platforms and workflows (Concur).
• Lead and develop the AP team with coaching and feedback.
• Maintain internal controls and data integrity across AP processes.
