Responsibilities

• Manages monthly accounts payable close and ensures invoices are accrued.
• Serves as subject matter expert related to accounts payable function and control.
• Manages team to include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work and appraising performance.
• Reviews accounting reports and AP register for accuracy.
• Cultivates relationships with vendors and acts as point of contact for disputes.
• Codes, batches invoices, and posts payments to financial software.
• Develops and tracks key metrics and reports recommendations to senior staff.
• Creates ad-hoc reports to support management requests.
• Establishes and updates internal controls within the unit.
