Job summary

Progyny, a leader in women's health and family-building solutions, is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead a high-volume AP function in our New York office. You will manage the AP cycle, process invoices and payments, and strengthen controls while guiding a team in a deadline-driven environment.

The ideal candidate has a BA/BS in Accounting or related field and 5–8 years of progressive AP experience, with SAP/Intacct/Concur familiarity and a strong Excel skillset.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required.
• 5-8 years of progressive accounts payable or accounting experience required.
• Prior supervisory or team-lead experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of entire accounts payable and procure-to-pay cycles.
• Experience with general ledger reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close.

Responsibilities

• Manage and participate in the complete accounts payable cycle from invoice receipt to payment.
• Review, code, and process vendor invoices and employee expenses.
• Prepare and execute payment runs via ACH, wire, checks, and other methods.
• Maintain vendor records and enforce controls to prevent errors and fraud.
• Reconcile AP subledger to GL and resolve differences.
• Support cash-flow planning with accurate payment forecasts.
• Partner with Procurement, Accounting, Treasury and other departments to improve procure-to-pay.
• Develop and enforce AP policies and internal controls.
• Supervise, train, and develop AP team members.
