Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience improving AP workflows, controls, and processes in evolving environments.
• Ability to work independently and propose practical solutions with limited institutional knowledge.
• ADP payroll experience is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounts payable activities including invoice processing, approvals, vendor payments, and AP recording.
• Reconcile historical transactions and payments from a legacy system to Sage Intacct.
• Research and correct missing, duplicate, misclassified, or inaccurately recorded invoices and payments.
• Perform invoice-to-payment matching and resolve outstanding reconciliation issues.
• Evaluate and improve AP approval workflows, internal controls, documentation, and contingency procedures.
• Support the transition to a new expense management/AP platform.
• Document processes and transfer knowledge to the longer-term accounting team.
• Assist with payroll activities as needed if experience permits.

Senior Accounts Payable Consultant

Location: Malvern, PA | Hybrid preferred, remote considered
Type: Interim Consulting Engagement | Approximately 6 months
Target Rate: $60-$65/hour, with flexibility for highly qualified candidates

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Payable Consultant to provide hands-on AP support while an organization continues to stabilize a recent Sage Intacct implementation and enhance its accounts payable processes.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior-level AP professional who can quickly step into a changing environment, maintain day-to-day operations, resolve reconciliation issues, and improve workflows and controls. Strong Sage Intacct experience is required, and prior experience supporting an Intacct implementation is highly preferred.
