Polymarket, the world's largest prediction market, is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to own the close process, lead technical accounting, and build scalable controls as we grow globally. Reporting to the Controller, you will work with cross-functional teams on new products, international expansion, and M&A activity, setting policy for crypto-native activity.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license required.
• 8–10+ years of progressive accounting experience in high-growth private and public settings.
• 3+ years of Big 4 public accounting experience preferred.
• Deep GAAP knowledge; ability to research complex topics and communicate memos clearly.
• Experience leading a close process in high-transaction-volume environments with deadlines.
• Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance.
• Comfort with modern finance tools ( Ramp, Brex, ERP ); quick to learn new tools.
• Strong Excel skills and financial Modeling.
• Plus crypto accounting or digital asset experience.
• Plus SQL skills and international/multi-entity consolidation or M&A experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process end to end with GAAP compliance.
• Research and document technical accounting positions across revenue, business combinations, and software.
• Lead financial reporting, support external audits, and build internal controls.
• Manage intercompany accounting and consolidated financials across entities.
• Scope and implement accounting systems to improve speed and scalability.
• Partner with legal, product, and business on new initiatives with accounting implications.
• Define and document accounting policies for crypto-native activity.
