Job summary

Polymarket, based in New York, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our finance team and help drive scalable financial processes. You will own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close under US GAAP, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across all accounts.

You’ll build robust reconciliations, manage journal entries, support audits, and lead process improvements across ERP systems and automation tooling while contributing to strategic initiatives like international expansion and product launches.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license is required.
• 2–6 years of progressive accounting experience at tech or high-growth internet companies.
• Experience spanning both early-stage startups and public companies.
• Strong breadth of GAAP expertise and the ability to communicate accounting concepts clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
• 2+ years of Big 4 experience strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Comfort with modern finance systems — crypto, Ramp, Brex, ERP, and automation tooling.
• Excel fluency; SQL skills are a plus (we’re happy to teach)

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Accountant to join our finance team. Reporting to the Controller, you’ll be responsible for delivering timely, accurate financial reporting while building the systems, controls, and processes needed to scale with our growth. We operate at the intersection of innovation, scale, and disciplined financial execution — and this role sits at the center of it all.

What You’ll Do

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes under US GAAP, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

What We’re Looking For
