Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years accounting experience in a senior role with at least 2 years in manufacturing.
• Experience coordinating audit activities and managing reporting, budgeting, and payroll.
• Thorough knowledge of US GAAP.
• Tech-savvy with experience selecting and overseeing software installations and accounting software management.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills with strategic data interpretation.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for presenting data to senior management and board.
• Ability to translate complex financial concepts to non-finance managers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting management: billing, financial statements, general ledger, cost accounting, payroll, A/P, A/R, budgeting, tax compliance, inventory accounting, revenue recognition, and analyses.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal policies.
• Prepare and present financial reports; coordinate monthly/quarterly/annual statements; oversee project/grants accounting.
• Lead the annual audit process; liaise with external auditors and finance committee.
• Implement, document, and maintain internal controls.
• Manage cash flow and forecasting.
• Implement contracts and financial management systems; ensure billing/collection schedules.
• Update policies and accounting practices; improve finance manual.
• Communicate financial matters to CFO and top management.
