High Country Search Group is recruiting a hands-on Controller / Senior Accounting Manager for a growing Western Colorado family office portfolio spanning agriculture, hospitality, real estate, and media. You will lead the monthly close for ~25 entities, drive budgeting/forecasting, and partner with ownership on investments and tech upgrades.

The ideal candidate combines strong GAAP expertise with comfort in multi-entity environments and a passion for AI-enabled automation in finance.

Qualifications

• Approximately 5–8 years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• Strong GAAP knowledge, month-end close, and financial statement prep.
• Experience across multiple entities, subsidiaries, or portfolio companies preferred.
• Familiarity with AI/automation tools in accounting is beneficial.

Responsabilités

• Manage monthly close and prepare accurate financial statements across ~25 entities.
• Oversee GL activity, reconciliations, accruals, intercompany transactions.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning with ownership.
• Support tax planning and year-end requirements with outside tax professionals.
• Identify opportunities to automate back-office processes and implement new tech.
