Job summary

High Country Search Group is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee accounting operations for a complex organization with multiple business lines, entities, and revenue streams within the construction industry.

This is a hands-on leadership role for a detail-oriented professional who can navigate complex accounting environments, maintain accurate financial records, and lead a high-performing team through daily operations and multi-entity consolidation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Progressive accounting experience with leadership of a team.
• Experience in construction or a project-based environment.
• Experience across multiple entities, business lines, revenue streams, or operating divisions.
• Demonstrated experience managing audits and coordinating audit prep.

Responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger accounting across multiple entities, business lines, projects, and revenue streams.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement prep.
• Prepare intercompany transactions, allocations, and consolidations.
• Manage corporate budget, analyze variances, and monitor budgets versus actuals.
• Review day-to-day accounting activities including AP, AR, cash, and payroll.
• Maintain WIP reports, lien waivers, project billing and budgeting with variance analysis.
• Establish and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Review financial reporting across entities for accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Lead, supervise, and develop the accounting team, guiding technical accounting matters.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, and efficiency.
