Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA strongly preferred.
• Big 4 experience strongly preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive experience; supervisory experience required.
• Strong technical accounting skills with full-cycle close experience in a corporate environment.
• Public company or SEC reporting exposure a meaningful plus.
• Manufacturing industry experience a plus.
• Large ERP proficiency required.
• Advanced Excel skills: comfort with financial reporting tools valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage full-cycle month-end close activities with ownership and high accuracy.
• Prepare and review complex journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Oversee and develop a small team including Staff Accountant and Senior Accountant.
• Deliver balance sheet and income statement analytics for a key business unit.
• Support tie-outs and financial reporting in a public company environment.
• Identify and drive process improvements across close workflows and accounting operations.
• Contribute to AI and automation initiatives to modernize close processes.
• Collaborate with business unit leaders and finance stakeholders on reporting and analysis.
• Maintain technical accounting expertise and apply to non-routine transactions.
• Ensure work products meet quality and documentation standards for senior leadership.

• Ensure all work product meets the quality and documentation standards expected by senior leadership
• Support special projects and stretch assignments as the team continues to evolve and expand its capabilities
• Partner with leadership on priority initiatives and continuous improvement efforts

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA strongly preferred
• Big 4 experience very strongly preferred
• 8+ years of progressive experience; a blend of public accounting and mid-market industry experience ideal
• Supervisory experience required
• Strong technical accounting skills with full-cycle close experience in a corporate environment
• Public company or SEC reporting exposure a meaningful plus
