Job summary

Segrera Associates is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the corporate accounting team in the Tampa Bay area. You will report to the Director of Accounting and manage a four-person accounting team responsible for general ledger activities.

The role is hands-on leadership with technical accounting responsibilities, guiding complex issues, and developing the team in a fast-paced, multi-year finance system implementation environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting and/or large corporate environment.
• 2–3+ years of direct people-management experience; must currently be managing a team.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with emphasis on GAAP.
• Advanced Excel skills required.
• Experience in a large, complex, or high-revenue organization.

Responsibilities

Position Overview

A growing, high-revenue organization in the Tampa Bay area is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join its corporate accounting team. This individual will report to the Director of Accounting and directly manage a team of four Accountants responsible for general ledger accounting.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who is already successfully managing an accounting team and has the technical accounting expertise to work through complex issues while supporting and developing their team.

The organization is growing and currently undergoing a multi-year finance system implementation, making this a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accounting activities are completed accurately and in accordance with GAAP

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience within public accounting and/or a large corporate environment

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA
• Public accounting experience supporting large or high-revenue clients
• Hands-on ERP or finance system implementation experience
• Experience participating in system design, testing, cutover, or post-go-live support
• Experience within a multi-entity or high-growth organization
