Location: Remote – EST Hours

Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Finance and Accounting is primarily responsible for the accounting and operations of various investment funds managed by our client, an investment firm. This individual will perform advanced accounting and reporting functions, monitor trading activities, and liaise with third-party service providers, including prime brokers and trading desks. The Senior Manager, Finance and Accounting works closely with the Associate Director, Finance and Accounting to facilitate timely financial reporting to senior management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform daily, monthly, and quarterly NAV calculations and reconciliations.
2. Oversee the preparation of daily position reporting, including reconciliation of all positions, cash movements, and trading activity.
3. Monitor trading activities and process/resolve trade breaks by liaising with third-party service providers, including prime brokers and trading desks.
4. Review and reconcile transactions, including trade processing, cash management, and corporate actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline required; Master’s degree in Accounting preferred.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience working in investment/hedge fund accounting or auditing required.
• Experience at either (1) a Big 4 Company or (2) a hedge fund is required.
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a deadline-driven environment.
• Organized and able to handle multiple deliverables simultaneously.
