We are looking for a Manager or Senior Manager, Accounting to support the Controller in managing the organization's accounting operations. The ideal candidate has excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, possesses effective communication and leadership abilities, and unwavering professional integrity. This role requires a deep understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Your Impact

As an Accounting Manager at Personify, you will be a key strategic partner to the Controller, and will be instrumental in maintaining our financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, managing payroll and procurement processes, and supporting various audits. You will have the autonomy to contribute to the development of our finance practices and be empowered to optimize and execute at a high level. This role manages company fiscal functions in accordance with GAAP, with frequent, direct interaction with senior management.

Here’s how you will make a significant impact:
  • Manage full-cycle accounting including billing (A/R & subscriptions), accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
  • Conduct month-end close, including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Support annual financial audits, tax filings, and other audits.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures.
  • Assist in tax compliance and filings.
  • Collaborate with various departments to develop effective processes and standards.
  • Assist with budget processes and department reviews.
  • Research accounting issues for GAAP compliance.
  • Support ad-hoc projects and reporting to drive efficiencies.
  • Train and mentor team members, providing ongoing coaching and feedback.
What You Bring

We seek finance and accounting professionals with successful experience in managing accounting operations, proficiency in financial systems, audit experience, and the skills to excel in a dynamic environment.

  • BA/BS Degree required.
  • Big 4 experience highly preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 1 year in a managerial role.
  • Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA, CPA, or equivalent preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software (NetSuite preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax laws, and financial regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail and quality control.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and respond courteously and promptly.
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize in a dynamic environment.
