Our food processing client, in partnership with Conexus Recruiting, seeks a talented Senior Accounting Manager to join their Finance and Accounting Team. This is a newly created position by our client which as experience double-digit growth for over a decade.

Job Title: Senior Accounting Manager

Job Status (direct hire, consulting, consulting with possibility of hire) – This role is a direct hire role.

Job Site Status (onsite/hybrid/remote) – Our client has an onsite work site policy.

Compensation – Salary range is $120,000 to $160,000/year. Our client offers health insurance, 401(k) plan, and paid time off (PTO).

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SENIOR ACCOUNTING MANAGER

Accounting

• Oversee month-end closes of the General Ledger (G/L).
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations monthly.

Accounting Operations

• Supervise the Accounts Payable (A/P) team.
• Monitor cash flow on a weekly basis.
• Present finding before the Board of Directors.
• Ensure debt compliance by preparing and submitting compliance analysis.

Compliance and Controls

• Support executives with all external audits, including preparing necessary documentation and answering all questions.
• Ensure all accounting processes follow Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Manage inventory accounting processes.
• Ensure accurate valuation of inventory.
• Perform cycle counts.
• Maintain and improve ERP system.
• Accept all relevant tasks as given by upper management.

QUALIFICATIONS OF THE SENIOR ACCOUNTING MANAGER

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a comparable major.
• At least five (5) years of progressive accounting experience.
• At least three (3) years of supervisory/managerial experience.
• Current or prior employment at a manufacturing or agricultural processing company.

Preferred

• CPA
• Prior work experience at a public accounting firm before transitioning to private industry.
