Senior Accounting Manager - SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting

Vaco by Highspring is seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Manager for a thriving Westside startup. This role involves SEC reporting, technical accounting, and managing a small team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, hands-on, and a strong people leader.

Responsibilities

1. Prepare 10Q, 10K, and 8K filings for the SEC.
2. Update and develop accounting policies in line with new standards.
3. Conduct technical accounting research and prepare memos.
4. Manage XBRL reporting and assist with month-end closing processes.
5. Support the annual financial statement audit and MD&A reporting.
6. Oversee work of 2 staff accountants.
7. Maintain fixed asset schedules and oversee debt reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.
• 7+ years of public/private accounting experience.
• Active CPA or nearing certification.
• Advanced Excel skills.
