About the role:

Our PE-Backed Manufacturing client is looking to hire a talented Senior Accounting Manager to support general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and accruals. This position requires strong accounting and management skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment. Ideal candidates will come from a manufacturing industry background and have a solid understanding of cost accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting close activities, ensuring compliance with US GAAP.
• Lead the month-end close process, including journal entries, consolidations, and reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, cash flow projections, and other reports.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies.
• Oversee inventory valuation methods such as FIFO, LIFO, or weighted average cost.
• Implement and monitor standard costing for WIP, finished goods, and raw materials.
• Research and reconcile discrepancies, verify documents per accounting policies.
• Generate quarterly reporting packages.
• Identify and implement process improvements for financial reporting efficiency.
• Develop and maintain accounting controls, policies, and procedures.
• Analyze forecasts versus actuals and advise management.
• Lead internal/external audits and regulatory filings.
• Handle ad hoc analysis and reporting requests.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA preferred
• Manufacturing industry experience required
• Cost accounting experience preferred
• ERP experience (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
