Job summary

Cavender’s is seeking a Senior Manager of Accounting to lead core accounting operations in Addison, TX. You will ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, oversee the general ledger, reconciliations, and US GAAP compliance, while building scalable processes and strong internal controls.

You will partner with FP&A, Operations, IT, and external auditors, report to the Director of Accounting & Controls, and support close processes with a focus on automation and continuous

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• CPA certification is required.
• 7–9+ years of progressive accounting experience are needed.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP required.
• Experience building and scaling accounting processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead corporate accounting functions, including general ledger and close activities.
• Ensure US GAAP compliance across all areas and transactions.
• Review and approve journal entries and reconciliations.
• Strengthen internal controls and document policies/procedures.
• Lead internal and external audits, including SOX controls and remediation.
• Partner with FP&A, Operations, IT, and other stakeholders.
