Cavender's accounting team seeks an Accounting Manager to oversee general ledger integrity and GAAP compliance. You will partner with finance to ensure timely financial processing and robust internal controls.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in accounting (CPA preferred) with 3-5 years of GL experience and advanced Excel skills. Expect collaboration across departments and a focus on accuracy and ethics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• 3-5 years of general ledger accounting experience.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly with Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• High ethical standards and integrity.
• Analytical thinking and research capabilities.

Responsabilités

• Support monthly close by preparing and entering standard journal entries ensuring alignment with GAAP and internal controls.
• Ability to reconcile multiple balance sheet accounts.
• Drive the execution of a risk-based approach to financial controls.
• Support test of design across assigned areas to evaluate internal controls, accuracy of records, and efficiency of operations.
• Assist with ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required, and other duties as assigned
• Ensure compliance with local and state tax along with internal accounting policies and procedures
• Support business partners such as construction & maintenance with finance transactions, reporting, and analysis
• Perform other related duties and projects as assigned by Finance leadership
