Job summary

Cavender’s seeks a Senior Manager of Accounts Payable in Addison, TX to lead the AP function, drive accuracy, timeliness, and control compliance. You will oversee invoice and payment processing, vendor reconciliations, and month-end close while guiding a team toward continuous improvement.

Reporting to the Head of Finance Operations, you will provide data-driven insights, support cash flow forecasting, and collaborate with Finance and cross-functional partners to optimize processes and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in Accounting, Accounts Payable, or related financial operations.
• 3+ years of supervisory or management experience with demonstrated success leading and developing teams.
• Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable processes, cash disbursements, financial controls, reconciliations, month-end close.
• Experience monitoring and analyzing Accounts Payable operational metrics.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational leadership for the Accounts Payable function, setting team priorities and performance expectations.
• Oversee all aspects of daily Accounts Payable operations, including invoice processing, payment processing, contra payables, vendor maintenance, reconciliations, and issue resolution.
• Lead, develop, coach, and support the Accounts Payable team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Ensure invoices and payments are processed accurately and timely with proper approval workflows and internal controls.
• Prepare and analyze Accounts Payable reports and provide insights to Finance leadership.
• Manage vendor account reconciliations and escalated vendor issues; maintain relationships with partners.
• Support the month-end close and cash flow forecasting with AP data and accruals.
