Job summary

Optical Cable Corporation in Roanoke, VA seeks a Senior Manager, Accounting & Finance to lead financial reporting, GAAP compliance and SOX processes. You will supervise parts of the Finance team and support the CFO/CEO with strategic analysis.

Responsibilities include preparing SEC filings, coordinating audits, monthly closings, and maintaining internal controls. Strong leadership, communication and CPA credentials are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or related business degree.
• 5 to 7 years of experience, preferably a mix of public and non-public accounting and SEC reporting experience.
• Management/Supervisory skills.
• CPA required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare internal and external financial reporting, including SEC filings.
• Oversee and maintain the audit and reporting calendar.
• Prepare Section 16 reports required for SEC filing.
• Manage all financial statement audits and field exams.
• Coordinate providing required documents to auditors and examiners.
• Prepare monthly journal entries and financial statements; assist with quarterly workpapers.
