You will oversee GL, AP, AR, payroll, and fixed assets, implement SOX controls, coordinate audits, and develop budgeting, forecasting, and process improvements.

Requires a 4-year degree, CPA preferred, 10+ years in accounting with 5+ in management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• CPA certification preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 5+ years in a management role.
• GAAP and financial reporting expertise.
• ERP systems and financial software experience.
• Public company accounting experience preferred.
• System implementation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct all accounting operations: GL, AP, AR, payroll, fixed assets.
• Assist CFO with GAAP-based monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes.
• Develop cash flow projections, budgets, and forecasts.
• Mentor and develop accounting team members.
• Set goals, metrics, and development plans for the team.
• Foster excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Design and monitor internal controls for SOX compliance.
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory examinations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local regulations.
• Develop accounting policies and procedures.
• Assist with tax planning and returns.
• Identify process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Lead system evaluations and implementations.
