Job summary

Airswift is seeking an Accounting Coordinator for a leading Oil & Gas company in Miami. This senior role partners with the Controller, overseeing month-end close, consolidation, intercompany accounting, reporting, audits, and process improvements across multiple entities.

The position requires a Bachelor's in Accounting, 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong US GAAP knowledge, and leadership capabilities. Spanish is highly preferred; Oil & Gas experience is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
• CPA or CPA-track candidate preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, consolidations, intercompany accounting, and internal controls.
• Experience in multinational, multi-entity environments.
• Leadership or supervisory experience.
• Advanced Excel and ERP systems knowledge.
• Spanish proficiency highly preferred; Oil & Gas industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Accounting team, providing guidance, development, and technical support.
• Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Oversee financial consolidation and intercompany accounting activities across international operations.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, corporate accounting policies, and reporting requirements.
• Review significant accounting matters, reconciliations, and financial reporting packages.
• Support internal and external audits, internal controls, SOX compliance initiatives, and IPO readiness activities.
• Partner with Tax, Treasury, FP&A, and other finance functions.
• Drive process improvements, standardization, and automation initiatives across accounting and reporting activities.
