Job summary

Formic is hiring a Senior Manager, Accounting & Controls to strengthen our accounting foundation during rapid growth. You will drive technical accounting, close processes, and internal controls while partnering with Finance leadership to scale operations.

The role focuses on ASC 606, ASC 842, and ASC 718, overseeing audits, improving documentation, and advancing ERP initiatives. Remote-friendly, with US-based compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• CPA active license in good standing.
• 7–10+ years accounting experience, incl. Big Four.
• Senior Manager level in Audit/Assurance with team leadership.
• Deep technical knowledge of US GAAP, esp. revenue recognition and leases.

Responsibilities

• Support first financial audit with schedules, reconciliations, documentation.
• Own components of month-/quarter-/year-end close for timely US GAAP reporting.
• Prepare complex technical accounting transactions (ASC 606/ASC 842/ASC 718).
• Prepare financial statements and reconciliations for internal stakeholders.
• Design and maintain robust internal controls and preventive measures.
• Lead audit readiness improvements and documentation standards.
• Drive ERP improvements and accounting automations with IT teams.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes using technology.
