Metropolis is seeking a Senior Director, Assistant Controller to lead corporate accounting operations and scale with our rapid growth. You will drive a best-in-class close process across all entities, while enforcing strong internal controls and governance.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive accounting and financial leadership experience in high-growth, complex environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; active CPA certification.
• Deep mastery of US GAAP; multi-currency consolidations and enterprise financial reporting.
• Experience implementing or optimizing tier-1 ERPs (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and leveraging AI/automation in finance operations.
• Strong strategic and hands-on leadership; translate shifts into practical accounting workflows.
• Executive-level communication skills to present to board and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end accounting function across all entities and business units, with accelerated close timelines.
• Partner with VP Controller to co-author accounting roadmap and provide actionable insights on financial results.
• Modernize corporate accounting by embedding AI, automation, and modern systems into close, consolidation, and reconciliation workflows.
• Design and enforce scalable internal controls (SOX readiness) and corporate policies; manage complex technical accounting (ASC 606, 842, 805).
• Build, mentor, and scale a world-class accounting team with a culture of ownership and excellence.
• Direct relationships with external auditors, ensuring audit readiness and transparent reporting.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Legal, and Product/Operations to support new business initiatives.
