Job summary

Formic, a leader in Robotics-as-a-Service, seeks a Senior Manager, Accounting & Controls to strengthen the accounting foundation during rapid growth. You will drive technical accounting, audit readiness, and internal controls while partnering with the Finance leadership to scale operations.

Ideal candidates bring deep US GAAP knowledge, experience leading audits, and a collaborative, hands-on approach to improving processes and systems remotely.

Qualifications

• CPA is required (active license in good standing).
• 7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including significant tenure at a Top 10 public accounting firm.
• Senior Manager or equivalent level in Audit/Assurance with experience leading engagements and managing teams.
• Deep technical knowledge of US GAAP, especially revenue recognition and lease accounting.

Responsibilities

• Support Formic through its first financial audit, including preparation of schedules, reconciliations, and documentation.
• Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes with timely, accurate US GAAP reporting.
• Prepare complex technical accounting transactions (ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 718) and review supporting schedules.
• Design, implement, and maintain robust internal controls and clear, audit-ready documentation.
• Lead ERP improvements and accounting automations, partnering with Finance to streamline processes.
