Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three years of progressively responsible clerical accounting experience.
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and/or other accounting functions.
• Experience creating and maintaining spreadsheets used to organize, track, and report financial data.
• Experience researching, interpreting, and reporting financial information.
• Experience reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Process and track interment fees and related financial transactions.
• Receive, review, and process invoices and billings for payment.
• Enter and post financial transactions utilizing accounting software systems.
• Reconcile weekly financial and statistical reports.
• Balance daily financial transactions and maintain detailed tracking spreadsheets.
• Process journal vouchers to correct coding discrepancies.
• Initiate and process refunds as needed.
• Communicate with vendors regarding missing invoices, payment questions, or billing corrections.
• Research and resolve account discrepancies and financial inquiries.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Prepare routine memoranda, correspondence, reports, and spreadsheets.
• Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
