Marathon Health is seeking an Accounts Payable professional to perform accounting and clerical duties for efficient processing of AP transactions. The role involves reviewing invoices, processing high-volume vendor payments, and ensuring timely payments while avoiding past-due accounts.

Responsibilities include allocating purchases, reconciling accounts, assisting with closings and audits, and supporting ad hoc projects.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree and at least 2 years of experience in accounts payable.
• Experience with invoice automation or invoice capture systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review invoices for appropriate documentation.
• Process high-volume vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner for approval routing.
• Allocate purchases to specific customers, locations, and departments.
• Prepare invoices for weekly payments and distribute checks or process electronic payments.
• Ensure that no vendor accounts become past due, including researching vendor problems.
• Respond to inquiries regarding invoice and payment status.
• Participate in projects to improve accounts payable processes.
• Prepare and file forms 1096 and 1099 annually.
• Manage and record all corporate credit card activity.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
• Assist with ad hoc projects and reporting.
• Support the company’s annual audit.
• Perform other related duties as required.
