Job summary

Under moderate supervision, you will prepare journal entries, balance reconciliations, and fixed asset processing, while ensuring GAAP compliance and Sarbanes-Oxley controls. Mentoring junior staff and leading process improvements are also expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related quantitative discipline is required.
• Four years of accounting experience for financial reporting in a public accounting firm or large corporate environment.
• Strong analytical and financial analysis skills.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP standards.
• Proficiency with business software and spreadsheet applications.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication, including presentations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, reconciliations, fixed assets, and lease/contract reviews.
• Research and analyze large elements of revenue and expense for internal reporting.
• Ensure general ledger balances are GAAP-compliant and SOX-tested.
• Lead accounting initiatives, process improvements, and regulatory changes.
• Mentor junior staff.
• Comply with laws, regulations, and company policies; perform other duties as assigned.
