FedEx Freight, Inc. in Memphis, TN or Harrison, AR seeks an Accounting Manager to oversee the general ledger close, ensure accurate financial reporting, and drive SOX compliance in a fast-paced logistics environment.
You will collaborate with FP&A and auditors, lead a small accounting team, and implement process improvements across U.S. GAAP controls while maintaining strong internal controls and documentation.
This position will be domiciled at a FedEx Freight location in Memphis, TN or Harrison, AR. You will be required to work at a FedEx Freight Location several times per week.
Responsible for managing the general ledger accounting function and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This role oversees the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis. The Accounting Manager works closely with finance leadership, auditors, and cross-functional teams to maintain compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and SOX requirements. The position also drives process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in GL operations and financial reporting.
