FedEx Freight, Inc. seeks an Accounting Manager to lead the general ledger and close processes in Memphis, TN or Harrison, AR. You will supervise month-end, quarter-end, and year-end activities, prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis while ensuring U.S. GAAP and SOX compliance.
Collaborate with FP&A and audits, drive process improvements, mentor the accounting team, and develop SOPs to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
This position will be domiciled at a FedEx Freight location in Memphis, TN or Harrison, AR. You will be required to work at a FedEx Freight Location several times per week.
Responsible for managing the general ledger accounting function and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This role oversees the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis. The Accounting Manager works closely with finance leadership, auditors, and cross-functional teams to maintain compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and SOX requirements. The position also drives process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in GL operations and financial reporting.
