Job summary

FINITETEK INC is seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee accounting operations, ensure GL accuracy, and drive month‑end and year‑end closes. The role emphasizes job costing, WIP reporting, and financial analysis for project-based work.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in accounting, GAAP expertise, and strong Excel/ERP skills. CPA/CMA is a plus. Office-based with occasional site visits in Texas.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in progressive accounting roles with month-end close and reconciliations.
• Experience in construction/telecom/project-based industries preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and full accounting cycle required.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end and year-end close, journal entries, accruals, and checklists.
• Maintain general ledger integrity and accurate transaction coding.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Oversee job costing, WIP reports, and cost-to-complete analysis.
• Allocate costs to jobs and cost codes; oversee AP/AR and payroll accounting.
• Assist with project billing, retainage, and progress claims.
