Job summary

Ultimus Fund Solutions is seeking an accounting professional to support fund accounting, review general ledger entries, and assist with quarterly and annual reporting. You will help ensure accurate financial statements and proper client communications.

The role includes preparing waterfall calculations and assisting with onboarding new clients. Ideal candidates have 2–5+ years in accounting/finance, a Bachelor’s in Accounting, and CPA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
• MBA/MSA strongly preferred.
• CPA license is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication for client interactions.

Responsibilities

• Review journal entries and maintain general ledger; prepare entries as needed.
• Review quarterly and annual reporting packages before management approval.
• Review financial statements prior to management approval.
• Review capital calls and distributions before approval.
• Coordinate delivery of notices to clients and investors.
• Communicate with client investors to address inquiries.
• Set deadlines with clients for deliverables per LPA requirements.
• Review wires/transfers and sign off before treasury approval.
• Prepare/review moderate to complex waterfall and management fee calculations.
• Assist in training new team members.
• Coordinate and complete special projects directed by clients or management.
• Assist with onboarding new clients.
