Job summary

Ultimus Fund Solutions, LLC in Alaska is seeking a Senior Accountant I to join our finance team. You will review journal entries, oversee the general ledger, and assist with preparing quarterly and annual reporting.

The ideal candidate has 2–5+ years in accounting, a Bachelor's in accounting, CPA preferred, and strong Excel skills. You will collaborate with clients and internal teams on complex waterfall calculations and onboarding new clients.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years' experience in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
• MBA/MSA strongly preferred.
• CPA license strongly preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of Investran or similar software a plus.
• Ability to multitask, manage time, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review of journal entries and maintenance of general ledger; prepare entries as needed.
• Review of quarterly and annual reporting packages prior to management approval.
• Review of quarterly and annual financial statements prior to management approval.
• Review of capital calls and distributions prior to management approval.
• Coordinate delivery of capital call and distribution notices to clients and investors.
• Communicate with clients to establish deadlines for deliverables per LPAs.
• Review all wires/transfers prior to treasury approval and sign off.
• Prepare/review waterfall and management fee calculations.
• Assist in development and training of new team members.
