Job summary

Ultimus Fund Solutions in Columbus, OH, seeks a Senior Fund Accountant to join our finance team. This role handles portfolio activity, reconciliations, client communications, and regulatory reporting to support multiple funds.

Ideal candidates have 3–5+ years in accounting or finance, a Bachelor’s in accounting, and preferably an MBA/MSA and CPA. Proficiency with MS Office and HedgeTek/HFPM helps.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• MBA or MSA in Accounting preferred.
• CPA license strongly preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; HedgeTek or HFPM experience a plus.
• Strong multitasking, time management, and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and oral communication with clients.
• Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Process portfolio activity and reconciliations to broker/custodian/client.
• Process account activity, performance, and trial balance reporting.
• Process investor allocations and fees per governing documents.
• Communicate with clients, custodians, third parties, and management.
• Review client correspondence and address inquiries as needed.
• Maintain internal controls and operating environment.
• Indicate knowledge of investment vehicles used by clients.
• Prepare and review incentive and management fee calculations.
• Participate in client audits.
• Assist in training of new team members.
• Coordinate special projects for clients or management.
• Assist with onboarding new clients.
• Demonstrate thorough understanding of fund documentation.
• Review fund accountants’ NAVs for accuracy.
