Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Senior Accountant for a leading financial services firm in Austin, TX. The role blends corporate and public accounting with client-facing responsibilities and will lead a team as the organization continues to grow from ongoing merger activity.

The ideal candidate has five+ years of experience, with strong revenue accounting background (ASC 606). A CPA or MBA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have revenue accounting experience including ASC 606
• Experience with M&A, purchase accounting, merger accounting, consolidations, or multi-entity environments
• Interest in growth and leadership within the organization
• Client-facing experience is a plus due to interaction with acquired businesses
• Background in both public accounting and industry preferred, though public accounting candidates will be considered

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post complex journal entries and maintain supporting documentation.
• Perform detailed account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Conduct accounting research and analysis to validate results and identify discrepancies.
• Prepare financial reports and analyses for leadership highlighting trends and insights.
• Develop and maintain schedules for accruals, amortization, and other activities.
