Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is seeking an Accountant IV in Tallahassee to audit and reconcile expenditures, process contract invoices, and gain proficiency in the Florida PALM system. The role closely supports the Finance and Budget Office in ensuring accurate financial records and timely payments.

The position requires at least three years of accounting-related experience, an associate degree in accounting or finance, and a background in MFMP/FLAIR processes.

Qualifications

• Three years of accounting or financial management experience.
• Associate degree in accounting/finance or related field with one year of relevant experience.
• Criminal history check required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Audit and reconcile expenditures in the Accounting Services Section.
• Train and attain proficiency in the Florida PALM accounting system.
• Process invoices and disbursements in MFMP and FLAIR within required timelines.
• Maintain encumbrances and ensure accurate accounting data in MFMP and FLAIR.
