The State of Florida Department of Management Services, based in Tallahassee, seeks an Accountant IV to support financial reporting and investments/divestments across the Department of Management Services. The role requires ensuring compliance with governmental accounting pronouncements and policies while coordinating with DFS and internal teams.

• Knowledge of accounting standards and practices.
• Ability to manage complex projects and meet deadlines.
• Ability to analyze data and apply guidelines and regulations.

• Experience with accounting systems such as Access Control, RDS and FLAIR.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Ability to work in a team and build effective relationships.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare daily cash position report and timely submit to predetermined users.
• Process investment and divestment functions by deadlines.
• Maintain electronic records for daily investment and divestment activities.
• Maintain knowledge of policies related to investments and divestments.
• Prepare reconciliation of departmental FLAIR/Trial Balance, Central FLAIR and Florida Palm by deadlines.
• Submit reconciliations and proposed corrections to supervisor or delegate.
• Process approved corrections.
• Prepare data for inter-agency transfer confirmations and submit to agency contacts.
• Reconcile differences and maintain transfer confirmation records.
• Report results to Financial Reporting Supervisor.
• Coordinate with DFS Risk Management during disasters; process insurance claims in Origami; update coverages annually; assist in insurance payments.
• Add and Remove FLAIR and RDS users; reset passwords; quarterly review of users.
