Job summary

Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission in Tallahassee seeks an Accountant IV to oversee expenditures, conduct audits, and reconcile multiple accounting systems within the Finance and Budget Office. Qualifications

• Three (3) years of accounting or financial management experience with at least one year in financial account management, auditing or account reconciliation.
• Associate degree in accounting, finance or related field and one year of professional experience in financial account management, auditing or account reconciliation may substitute for the required experience.

Responsibilities

• Screen and audit invoices in MFMP and determine dates for payment.
• Process disbursements in MFMP and FLAIR within five days of receipt.
• Maintain encumbrances for contract payments in FLAIR and MFMP.
• Enter, review, and maintain MFMP/FLAIR data and ensure correct purchasing and payment information.
• Communicate with contract managers regarding invoices, approvals, and deliverables.

Education

Associate’s degree in accounting, finance or related field

Three (3) years of experience in accounting or financial management with one (1) year in financial account management, auditing or account reconciliation
