Job summary

The Cheesecake Factory is seeking a Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting to join our SEC and Financial Reporting team. You will prepare SEC filings, consolidate multi-entity financials, and support lease accounting and technical accounting matters.

You’ll collaborate with Accounting, Finance, Legal, Tax, Treasury, Investor Relations, and Operations to deliver accurate financial information in a timely manner. A strong GAAP foundation and public company experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA license or active pursuit of CPA certification.
• 3+ years Big 4 or national public accounting or 5+ years progressive public company financial reporting.
• Experience with public accounting or multi-entity reporting environment.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial statements.
• Experience preparing SEC filings (10-Q/10-K).
• Experience with monthly/quarterly/annual close processes.
• Strong Excel skills with pivot tables, lookups, and complex formulas.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain schedules for SEC reporting.
• Draft SEC filings and public documents (10-Qs, 10-Ks, 8-Ks).
• Manage multi-entity monthly consolidations and financial reporting packages.
• Prepare ASC 842 lease accounting entries and related schedules.
• Support internal/external auditors and SOX compliance.
• Maintain general ledger mappings and data integrations.
