Job summary

Paragon Pro Rentals, a rapidly growing heavy-equipment rental company, seeks a hands-on Senior Accountant to support monthly close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and day-to-day accounting across multiple locations. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Five+ years progressive accounting experience.
• Strong GAAP and close process knowledge.
• Experience with journal entries and balance-sheet reconciliations.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-growing environment.
• Clear communication with accounting and operations teams.
• High level of accuracy and professional judgment.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare journal entries and reconciliations with supporting schedules.
• Maintain fixed assets, rental equipment, inventory, prepaid expenses, accrued liabilities, and debt.
• Review accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit, and cash activity.
• Support accounting for multiple locations and related entities.
• Prepare and reconcile intercompany transactions.
• Assist with new-store accounting setup and operational readiness.
• Monitor transactions for accuracy, appropriate coding, and compliance with company policies.
• Support financial statement preparation and management reporting.
• Assist with cash management, sales tax, and lender reporting.
• Coordinate documentation and schedules for the annual audit.
• Help develop and document accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows and system utilization.
• Provide guidance and review support to accounting staff.
• Serve as a key point of contact for branch personnel regarding accounting matters.
• Assist the Controller with special projects, system implementations, and growth initiatives.
