Paragon Pro Rentals is a rapidly growing heavy-equipment rental company seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to support our expanding multi-location operations. This position will report directly to the Controller and play a key role in the monthly close, financial reporting, account reconciliations, process improvement, and oversight of day-to-day accounting activities.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead key components of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Maintain and reconcile fixed assets, rental equipment, inventory, prepaid expenses, accrued liabilities, and debt
- Review accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit, and cash activity
- Support accounting for multiple locations and related entities
- Prepare and reconcile intercompany transactions
- Assist with new-store accounting setup and operational readiness
- Monitor transactions for accuracy, appropriate coding, and compliance with company policies
- Support financial statement preparation and management reporting
- Assist with cash management, sales tax, and lender reporting
- Coordinate documentation and schedules for the annual audit
- Help develop and document accounting procedures and internal controls
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows and system utilization
- Provide guidance and review support to accounting staff
- Serve as a key point of contact for branch personnel regarding accounting matters
- Assist the Controller with special projects, system implementations, and growth initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Five or more years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and the financial close process
- Experience preparing journal entries and balance-sheet reconciliations
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-growing environment
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with accounting and operational teams
- High level of accuracy, accountability, and professional judgment
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or CPA candidate
- Previous Senior Accountant, Accounting Supervisor, or Accounting Manager experience
- Experience with multi-location or multi-entity accounting
- Experience in equipment rental, construction, dealership, manufacturing, or a related industry
- Experience with inventory, fixed assets, equipment financing, and intercompany accounting
- Experience implementing or optimizing an ERP or accounting system
- Prior experience reviewing work or mentoring accounting staff
