Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior Accountant (US GAAP) to support US-based CPA practices from a fully remote setup in the United States. The role focuses on GL maintenance, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting, with direct client interaction and a strong emphasis on accuracy and confidentiality.

The ideal candidate has extensive US GAAP experience, professional qualifications (CPA/CA/ACCA/SAICA), and a track record of handling multi-entity reporting using modern accounting

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of professional accounting experience, incl. 2 years in US CPA firms.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge; IFRS-only experience not considered.
• CPA/CA/ACCA/SAICA or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Proven experience with full-cycle accounting, GL, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting and maintain the general ledger.
• Perform monthly bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, trial balance).
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records and reporting docs.
• Communicate with US-based clients to address questions and provide support.
• Leverage AI tools to improve workflow efficiency and accuracy.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes.
