Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Accountant in Powell, OH to own multi-entity accounting operations within a national real estate investment firm. You will manage lease and acquisitions accounting, fixed assets, and intercompany activity, collaborating with the finance team to deliver accurate, timely financial statements.

The role requires 5+ years in accounting, with a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance and CPA or a Master’s preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master’s or CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate or finance.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting, lease accounting, acquisitions, fixed assets, and intercompany accounting.
• Familiarity with Yardi, MRI, or AppFolio is a definite plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multi-entity accounting operations and close processes.
• Handle lease and acquisitions accounting and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
• Oversee intercompany accounting, reconciliations and eliminations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Collaborate with departments to ensure timely reporting.
• Assist with audits and tax preparations.
• Improve accounting processes for efficiency and control.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes.
• Utilize accounting software to streamline operations.
