Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Accountant for a Powell, OH on-site role with a leading real estate investment firm. The candidate will own multi-entity accounting, lease and acquisitions accounting, and fixed assets while coordinating with a seasoned finance team.

Job Details

Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join there team. This offers the opportunity to work with a leading organization in the Accounting and Finance industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing various aspects of our multi-entity accounting operations, including lease and acquisitions accounting, fixed assets, and intercompany accounting. Familiarity with Yardi, MRI, or AppFolio is a definite plus. Responsibilities

1. Oversee and manage all aspects of multi-entity accounting operations.


2. Handle lease and acquisitions accounting, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and comply with relevant regulations.


3. Manage and maintain fixed assets, including depreciation schedules.


4. Oversee intercompany accounting, including reconciliations and eliminations.


5. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.


6. Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.


7. Assist with audits and tax preparations.


8. Continually refine and improve accounting processes and procedures for efficiency and effectiveness.


9. Stay updated on industry trends and changes in regulations that may affect accounting practices.


10. Utilize accounting software (experience with Yardi, MRI, or AppFolio is a plus) to streamline accounting processes.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.


2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the Accounting and Finance industry.


3. Proven experience with multi-entity accounting, lease accounting, acquisitions accounting, fixed assets, and intercompany accounting.


4. Familiarity with Yardi, MRI, or AppFolio is a definite plus.


5. Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.


6. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, financial markets, and banking.


7. Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly in Excel.


8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.


9. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.


10. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
