Jobot is seeking a Senior Accountant for our Real Estate Development division in Cincinnati. The role focuses on overseeing construction project finances, ledger management, and monthly reporting to drive profitability.

You will collaborate with project managers to create budgets, analyze data, and ensure compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in a senior accounting role and a strong grasp of GAAP, with proficiency in accounting software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s or CPA/CMA preferred.
• At least 2 years in a senior accounting role, preferably in construction.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficient in managing and maintaining a general ledger.
• Excellent analytical skills for complex financial data and forecasts.
• Knowledge of federal/state financial regulations.
• Proficient in accounting software and industry tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; clear reporting.
• Strong organizational skills and deadline discipline.
• Proactive problem solver with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring budget compliance.
• Prepare and present monthly financial reports with costs, profitability, and forecasts.
• Maintain the general ledger with accuracy and timeliness.
• Collaborate with project managers to develop budgets and plans.
